Chartered in 1988 with 25 members, the AHPDTC has been active for 29 years and is currently made up of about 70 members. The club offers various levels of class instruction to its members and to dog owners in the community; concentrating on family pet relationships, socialization, health and education. Club members also train and participate with their dogs in various competitions such as obedience, rally, agility, therayp work, field & hunting, herding, and breed championships. Over 140 member dogs have passed the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test with many of them meeting Therapy Dog International’s requirements.
The club holds an Annual Fun Day with picnic for members and their guests where we offer all kinds of events to participate in or watch with your dog.
The club holds a series of extensive dog training classes in the Spring, Summer and Fall for the general public as well as for its members.

Annual Fun Match:
The club has put on a successful Annual Fun Match from 1990-2004; offering obedience, rally, agility run throughs, CGC and TDI testing.
12th Annual Fun Day:
The first club Fun Day with Picnic took place in September 2005.
Events and Demos of Obedience, Rally, Agility, Dancing with Dogs, Weight Pull and lots & lots of excellent food!
2017 will be our 13th Annual get together. Date TBD, held in August at Kate Mountain Park in Vermontville, NY
